Recipe
- Sourdough bread, sliced.
- Cheddar cheese (sliced) - or Swiss or American
- Butter
- a hungry tummy
Step 1 - In order to get the golden brownish texture, spread some butter on the OUTSIDE of the sandwich.
Step 2 - At medium heat, put butter into pan and let it melt for a bit. Place the sandwich in and leave it alone for 2 - 3 mins (or until golden brownish texture). Add more butter if needed and turn the sandwich over and leave it for another 2 -3 minutes. The bread can get a bit soggy during the first minute, just leave it and it will turn more crispy over the next 2 - 3 minutes.
Step 3 - Cut in half and serve when ready!
Simple right? Give it a try! Remember, add as much cheese as you want and more butter the better. You be your own judge. ^^

The only problem I am coming across is where to get the best cheese in HK!
I've got the 4th ingredient. Gotta raid the kitchen for the first 3 now!
grilled cheese sandwiches remind me of the Jesus / Mary grilled sandwich from way back
@Tom: yes indeed! Hard to find great cheese but if you want great dine in cheese, Caprice has a great selection, but very costly of course.
@Jin: Please remember to add the result to your growing backlog! :)
@grub: perhaps I should capture it onto a T-shirt and put on ebay haha ...
